In-Clinic Diagnostics
The experienced veterinarians at Lewis Animal Hospital can diagnose many issues through a physical examination of an animal, but often more information is needed. Blood work values can often assist our doctors when there are underlying issues that cannot be seen from the outside of a pet. For this reason, both locations of Lewis Animal Hospital have invested in the most advanced diagnostic equipment available in veterinary medicine to care for our patients.
The blood chemistry analyzers at Lewis can accurately and quickly give our veterinarians liver, kidney and pancreatic function levels to help ensure these organs are functioning properly. Electrolyte levels can also be evaluated to determine if fluids may be necessary for a patient. Complete blood counts (CBCs) can provide red blood cell, white blood cell, and platelet parameters to our doctors so they can begin treatment immediately if necessary.
The caring doctors at Lewis Animal Hospital have many years of successful diagnosis and treatment of pets in the greater Cincinnati area, and they will bring this same level of care to your pet as well. Please call one of our compassionate team members, and allow us to care for the life of your companion.
